Gozo Azul - Ponta do Ouro Activities
Gozo Azul is an enthusiastic, friendly and owner run adventure charter based in Ponta Do Ouro, southern Mozambique with more than 12 years experience in this area. They offer a variety of daily charters including deep sea fishing charter, spear fishing, whale and dolphin watching, scuba diving, snorkeling and tailored sea safaris to Santa Maria / Inhaca Island near Maputo.
Thier boats are all fitted with the latest equipment and tackle. The skippers are all experienced with years of knowledge.
GOZO AZUL 1 - A 26ft Advantage cat, walk around, powered by two 115hp Johnsons. Maximum 6 people onboard for comfort and space plus the skipper and deckhand.
GOZO AZUL 2 - A 26ft Advantage cat, walk around, powered by two 200hp Yamahas. Maximum 6 people onboard for comfort and space plus the skipper and deckhand.
FILHO DE PRAIA - A 24ft Z-craft, powered by two 225hp Yamaha 4-strokes. Maximum 4 people onboard for comfort and space plus the skipper and deckhand.
Tackle - They use Shimano TLD 15, 20 and 25 lever drag reels and a variety of other Shimano reels use for jigging or drop shot with boat rods and Use 17 – 24kg line and braid up to +50kg. For the best fishing results they do trawling with a variety of lures or bait - Halco, Rapala, Williamson, Pulsator and a few made double deadlies. For drifting, they use made-up traces. They offer jigging and drop shot. Fly fishing on request.
General fishing information - We fish for the love and fun of it. No bottom fishing allowed. Fish caught in our waters, marlin, sailfish, king mackerel (cuta), queen mackerel (natal snoek), dorado, wahoo, green job fish (kaakap), King fish(GT), variety of tuna’s to name a few.
We support catch & release.
