Visitors to this Mozambique reserve will find luxury lodging, lake and land activities including walking or canoe safaris. Access is via Lichinga, Cobue or Likoma Island on the lake.

With no light pollution for many miles around, the lake beach is perfect for stargazing. Gazing at the stars while sitting around a campfire inevitably leads to everybody sharing stories.

Through Mozambique (arriving at Cobue, a small village on the lake, where the road ends)
4×4 transfer (or self-drive) from Lichinga to Cobue where Nkwichi’s boat will be waiting on the lake shore. The drive, which takes 4 hours, is one of Africa’s most scenic drives, taking in the Rift Valley escarpment and the coastline of the lake.
